Attention Professional and Amateur photographers who take action photos of West Coast Swing dance competitions. We're looking for the "Action Photo of the Year"!
The USA Swing Net will award a special $200 prize package to one Professional and one Amateur photographer for the most dramatic "action shot" taken of any dance couple competing at any of our 19 USA Swing Net member events. The winning entries will selected on the basis of quality of composition and the level of drama captured in the photo.
The photos and the names of the winning photographers will be displayed on this website for all to see.
Winners will receive an assortment of dance movie souvenirs (posters, tee-shirts, movie soundtracks) supplied by our marketing partners in Hollywood from their recently released Dance Movies.
Photos submissions should be in jpeg format, 400 x 300 pixels in size.
To enter, simply submit your photos to contest@usaswingnet.com before Midnight on February 3rd, 2008. Each photographer may enter up to two un-retouched photos for consideration.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Professional photographers are defined as those who are hired by the event director or who take photos primarily for commercial purposes. Amateurs are those who are ordinary attendees at an event who take photos primarily for personal memories.
