Dance Fever! 

Superstar dancers appear on National TV for $100,000 competition!

On Sunday, July 13th, at 7 PM EDT, the ABC Family Channel launched a 6-week revitalized version of Dance Fever - the hip, colorful, dance variety show created by Merv Griffin back in the 70s.  The goal: find America's best amateur dancers.  The prize: a cool $100,000! 

The nationwide search began several weeks ago when several hundred dancers auditioned in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Atlanta for one of 48 coveted semi-final positions.  They began competing in groups of 8 at the chic Studio 54 nightclub at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas the week of June 23rd, hoping to make the final round on Sunday, August 24th. 

Among those 48 dance acts were 9 Champion performers who travel the Swing Circuit: Kyle Redd & Sarah Vann Drake, Yuval Hod & Nathalie Gomes, Kevin St. Laurent & Carla Heiney, Erik Novoa & Laura Cozik, and Tommy "Hypno" Chan.  They all competed over the first four weeks and danced exceptionally well but, unfortunately, only Kyle & Sarah qualified.  They will dance again in the "Wild Card" competition - which is the lead-in to the Grand Finale Show on August 24th.  Congratulations to everyone for their outstanding performances!

Dance Fever Prize Contest!
